Bring it on, volunteers

Our annual Festival couldn’t happen without the dedication and service of nearly 1,200 talented volunteers.

On-Line volunteer applications are now being accepted for volunteers to help us with the Toledo area’s oldest, largest and greatest ethnic Festival.   Be part of the team that puts on our award winning Festival and help us promote the spirit of Gemütlichkeit.

So, bring it on, volunteers.  Sell tickets. Cook food. Give information. Serve beverages.  Drive carts.  Volunteer now!

The German-American Festival is made possible by the hard work of many volunteers.  Actually, it takes over 3,000 volunteers to put on the German-American Festival every year.  Some work before the Festival in set-up activities, some work after the Festival for our take down effort, and many work during the Festival cooking food, serving beer, working with entertainment, working at the admission gates, working in the food and beverage distribution area, etc.

If you have a few free hours and would like to volunteer for the
German-American Festival, please contact the G.A.F. office at 419-691-4116 or fill out the Volunteer Application above.

German-American Festival volunteers receive free entrance for all three days, tickets for food and/or drink for working, and an opportunity to meet people and have fun.  Volunteers working in the weeks before and after the Festival are fed lunch, dinner and share in our camaraderie!.

BE A VOLUNTEER, help keep German traditions alive and introduce a whole new generation to the German culture of today and traditions of yesteryear.
