GUIDELINES FOR FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS
ü
Arrive for your shift
early;
ü
Tell your friends,
relatives and coworkers about the Festival;
ü
Products aren’t to be
used to barter between booths or given away to friends and family;
ü
Learn about the products
you sell;
ü
Greet our guest and thank
them for coming.
Say “Danke Schön” and “Guten Appetit”;
ü
Alcohol Servers:
o
Do not sell to people who
are underage – ask for IDs, even if wearing a wrist band;
o
Do not sell to people who
appear to be intoxicated – if a person appears intoxicated, do not serve them!
Refer the situation to the Sheriff’s Deputy assigned to your booth.
o
Giving alcohol away is
illegal!
ü
Food Workers:
o
Wash hands with soap &
water: Before beginning work – wearing gloves –
after smoking – after using restroom – after touching non-food items (trash,
boxes, money, etc);
o
Wear gloves:
When handling buns, raw meat, cooked items, ready to eat
items – change gloves after handling raw meat and then any food item;
o
No hand or arm jewelry
allowed except for a plain gold band;
o
Wear a head covering: baseball
hat, hair net, bouffant cap or full head covering; Visor hats are not allowed
unless wearing a hairnet.
o
Shoes are required. If you
are cooking anything and there is a chance of a hot food splash – wear full shoe
covering, not sandals.
o
Please, no tank tops or
muscle shirts.
ü
Please, no shirts with
inappropriate graphics. If
possible, dress in German or Swiss ethnic attire.
We represent a wholesome family
festival.
