Oak Shade Hall

Oak Shade Hall is one of the Toledo area’s premier rental facilities.  It is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, community events, and related functions. 

The hall comfortably seats 270 at round tables in a German setting complete with chalet-style bar area.  

The barrier-free hall, designed in Bavarian-style architecture, is located within G.A.F. Park. The Park is the home of the German-American Festival and sits on a wooded twelve acre park in Oregon, Ohio.  It is one of the area’s most beautiful settings, tucked away  in a park with flower beds and well manicured lawns.  Ample lighted parking is available.

Rental is for a six-hour block of time.  

Rental times are flexible.

Renters provide their own catering as well as a certificate of insurance for liability coverage.

Q. What is the rental cost for Oak Shade Hall?
A. The charge is $595 for Saturdays; Fridays are $495; Monday through Thursday is $245 and Sundays are $345.

Q. At Oak Shade Hall, how much rental time do I get for my money?
A. Six hours (6 hrs.) is a normal rental allotment. Additional time is permitted for event preparation and closure. If needed, additional half hours are available for a nominal fee.

Q. May I rent Oak Shade Hall without catering?
A. You may hire your own caterer, however, Oak Shade Hall has adopted a Preferred Caterer Program where the use of Non-Preferred Caterer may cost you more money and require your caterer to provide special insurance.

Q. How can I schedule a personal tour of Oak Shade Hall?
A. Just contact our Rental Manager at 419.691.6460 to schedule your personal tour.

Q. How do I reserve Oak Shade Hall for my special event?
A. Contact our Rental Agent to reserve the date. You will need to provide a security deposit to secure the date along with a signed rental agreement.

Q. What is Oak Shade Hall’s capacity?
A. Oak Shade Hall normally seats up to 275 guests including bridal party.  There is plenty of room for a cake table, gift tables, a stage for bands/DJ.  The hall features a parquet dance floor.  A coat room is located in the foyer for use by your guests during cold or inclement weather.

Q. Do you have round tables?
A. Yes!  Our hall is normally set in round tables seating eight guests, with a rectangular head table.  Oak Shade Hall can be set for more guests by using rectangular banquet tables instead of round tables.  Please discuss this with our Rental Manager.

Q. May I bring my own alcohol?
A. Sorry! Alcohol may not be brought on to our premises. Oak Shade Hall is a fully-licensed facility, featuring a Bavaria chalet style bar in the hall.  Bartenders and beverages (including set-ups) are furnished at a very reasonable cost. Q. Can we decorate the Oak Shade Hall as we choose?
A. Decorating is very personal and we will work with you to make sure that you can decorate the hall as you want for your special event.  Table linens are available through us or your caterer.  Please Contact our Rental Manager with any questions.

Q. Where can my out-of-town guests stay?
A. Several fine inns and hotels are located just minutes from this facility.  Some will give discounted rates for people indicating that they will be at an event at Oak Shade Grove.

Q. Your website says I need insurance.  How do I obtain insurance?
A. When you sign a contract, you agree to provide us with a certificate of liability insurance evidencing general liability coverage at minimum limits of $1,000,000, each occurrence, naming the G.A.F. Society (owner of Oak Shade Hall) as an additional insured during your special event.  Contact the insurance agent that writes your homeowners’ or renters’ insurance for assistance.
